Sony introduced a new DSLR today, the SLT-A99. It offers impressive specifications and many useful and powerful features. It looks like a real winner. Nikon and Canon should be concerned as this is a new paradigm for Sony to move seriously into their market leadership ranks. I must wonder if they are repackaging the CMOS sensor from the NEX7 into a DSLR. This makes sense. I own the NEX7 and love it with the Carl Zeiss glass.

They make probably the biggest-selling camera of them all. iPhone. |

More details that come out about this camera the more impressed I am. I just heard that the Nikon D600 uses the same CMOS chip from Sony.

I've been very happy with my A33. The A99 makes me wish I hadn't invested in DX lenses... DOH!
To be honest, the only things I've wished I had on the A33 was a top 'settings LCD' and a second adjustment scroll wheel thingy. That, and maybe a bit less sensor noise. |
