This is very dramatic in B&W between the clouds and the contrasty rocks. Great job. |

I agree. If you are trying for something similar to the "Ansel Adams" look you might try it in a Black and Gray duotone, maybe Cool Gray 6. You could also add a touch of Cyan or a blue to give it a look of having been processed with (I think) a selenium toner after developing. |

I think I would like to see it in color as well.
This is an awesome shot, btw.

Not just "like" it. I love it. Very dramatic. This area in Sedona is VERY colorful, but your use of black & white takes the viewer's focus on COLOR away and puts it on lighting and composition. That's what I love about it. I also love the inclusion of the large rocks to the left, as it adds impact to what would be a so-so photo if the church were more centered.
My own photos of this church don't come anywhere close ( though now I'll have to see what they look like in B&W ).

The color has a totally different feel to it ... in this case I think I prefer the B+W. |

Looks like there's a little halo under the arch; that and the extreme sharpness along the top edge make it look like a cut-out; sometimes there are parts of the photo which can be too sharp. |

It is actually called the "Chapel of the Holy Cross" located just outside Sedona, Arizona. I have a couple images of it to share.
This is a B&W taken on a rainy, foggy day:
This second one is a closeup of the front of the chapel taken on a sunny day where I cloned the really ugly windows at the bottom to make them look more natural and cloned out the ugly bracing on the right side at the bottom of the cross.
