In the interest of saving many of us from excessive sighing and eye-rolling, here is a list of subjects that have been discussed/ranted on ad nauseum:
- Voters (trolls,low voters,high voters,non-voters,fast voters,100% voters,how i vote,how you vote,change the voting scale,don't change the voting scale)
- Comments (why won't more people comment,more in depth comments,mean comments,dumb comments,criticizing the model)
- Lack of participation (IE: this site is dying, it's losing members)
- This site is stagnant (when will there be a dpl,changes to the site,where is Langdon?)
- The type of shots that ribbon (I hate eye candy,i love eye candy, there is no originality,dpc friendly images)
- Why does Art Roflmao keep standing in my yard at 2am screaming my name (oh wait, thats just my own complaint)
this list is by no means comprehensive, but if you feel like you're about to post something of this nature, please, I implore you, search the archives and read one of the many 50+ page threads on any of these subjects and you'll probably be sick of your own thread before you even post it. |

you forgot
-religion, politics, gay marriage, abortion, guns
-I wanna start a business, i got hassled taking a photo, my camera/leg broke yesterday
and
-I did the best thing ever, Its the person not the camera, the rules suck, photography is not art
style threads.
I like these style threads, but as long as we are informing the uninitiated, search these subjects before you start them,
its all been done over and over and over before. |

You forgot threads on the growing hit list to take out  gyaban  vawendy Irenem  Jagar Judi sjhuls  scalvert and everyone else with 2 or more screenfuls of ribbons.

Reading the prior post made me realise that Shannon's Ribbon haul has drastically been lowered since he made SC.

Heh, this thread reminds me of the digitalhome.ca forums. I joined that site while doing some research on antennas and digital Over The Air television after an argument with my satellite TV provider (RIP Bell Expressview).
Those forums are moderated by such Nazis that barely a new thread is created before it's moved, flamed, and/or deleted. It's nearly a static database of stale posts, but lots of good info.
Anyhow... suck-it, Bell.

In studying history, a person tends to discover that everything has been done before, and with much the same result.
While I agree that you can find anything you want somewhere in the forums, I'd prefer it if people went ahead and started the new discussion - perhaps something interesting will come up, and at the very least it keeps things moving.
I personally enjoy the inane banter - sorry it bothers some so much, but for those who this bothers, I really would, honestly, just suggest not opening the offending threads, how hard can that possibly be?
