its got some appeal, almost like an optical illusion

| It's kind of interesting, but not very pleasing to look at for more then about 5 seconds or so. The colors are nice, etc., but the subject is just sort of "meaningless" to me unless it were for a specific purpose such as the "Symetry" challenge, etc. |

The image seems kind of static, most likely due to the central location of the star. More tension could be generated by placing the star in one of the corners. This could possibly make the image more dynamic.

I agree with what cpanaioti said and also think some dramitic low side lighting could make it really pop. Nice long shadows - all pointing the same way would be cool. Nice colors, exposure, focus.
