I use a Chrome Extension called "Hover Zoom" which shows the thumbnail images at full size simply by hovering your cursor over the thumbnail. The extension doesn't work on this website. Is that because it's being blocked on purpose?
Any tech savvy members know how create a chrome extension to do this? |

That'd be DEATH on voting :-( People would hover thumbnails and cherry-pick the ones that interest them. Though I suppose you could make the argument that cherry-picking from full-size hovers is better than cherry-picking from thumbs? |

I'm pretty sure that the reason the extension doesn't work on DPC is the way the site is coded. When you hover your cursor over a thumbnail on a challenge voting "main" page, notice that the URL associated with the thumb is a php script that only refers to the image ID, So there's no way for the extension to locate the full-size image.

On the other hand it might provide the final incentive to not display any thumbnails until after they've been voted on, and get rid of the cherry-picking altogether. |

One negative thing I noticed (for this site) on hover zoom is that you have the ability to save the original image once it loads, which was addressed previously on this site (code was added to prevent saving images).
Still, a new extension could be created without that functionality. |
