HOw do you go about taking photo of interesting people on the move when you do not necessarily have permission of taking pictures of them?

from far away with a zoom lense.

or by asking permission;
or with a camera, the lens of which may be tilted at a right angle to its body (like the Sony F717/828). allowing the impression you're merely reviewing your shots;
or by being brazen.
