I have been deliberating purchasing Silver Efex Pro 2 for some time now and think I have finally made my mind up to buy it. I can't afford a new lens so thought this would be a nice addition to my arsenal to keep me happy. Anyway just wondered if there are any deals out there? Or perhaps it is worth getting a bundle of HDR Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro 2, and Color Efex Pro?
I currently only have Topaz Adjust 5 and pretty much use it for every entry:)
Btw I am in the UK just in case that affects any offers you may suggest. |

| I would get the bundle. I use color efex almost all the time and rarely go into topaz since getting it. The HDR software is incredible as well and of course sep2 is outstanding. |

No clue if it will apply to you, but they've a great deal for students.
ETA: It's $99

| At one time, if you participated in a Nik Software webinar, they offered a discount off retail prices. |

Thanks hahn - I will look into whether this is still the case.
Btw, anyone know if the product is downloadable or do I have to wait for a disc in the post? |

The best bundle deals I have found in the UK so far are as follows:
Nik Software Complete Collection
Lightroom Edition
Part Number: nik-1402 £ 195.95
Photoshop Aperture & Lightroom Edition
Part Number: nik-1396 £ 333.95
I have Photoshop and Lightroom so wondered if there is any advantage of using the plugin in one over the other? I tend to use Photoshop more than Lightroom but to save over £100, I would happily use it in Lightroom and save the results over to Photoshop.

I was recently "presented" by my teacher-sister the full suite of nik software... i read through all the rules and the only thing i could discern was that the suite must be purchased and validated by a person in the school system. I remember (vaguely) that the new rules for the Adobe Photoshop CS6 academic edition (renamed from student edition) said it must be purchased and authorized by a person in the academic system but it could be used by anyone as long as it wasn't for professional use. I assume (though could not find anywhere on the Nik site) the same applies but who knows.
I think the important thing is to buy the software and the companies know that it's better to sell it for a discount than have it torrented for free.
ETA: the software rocks!

I've had a press arrangement with Nik for almost a decade but unfortunately nothing further. They are very selective regarding the few whom they take on for offering promotions (oh well!). My other developers are much more willing to offer discounts.

I haven't seen too many discounts on Nik products. Topaz B/W Effects is pretty good and much more affordable, though having both, I find I prefer the Nik product. I'm still using V1 of Silver Efex, but now that I have upgraded my version of PSP, v2 should work with it now.
