high-key blur does not mean that the image has to be completely blurry with no detail on the focus of the photo does it? Based on my score im assuming it does.

I thought to use soft focus & high key means the main subject is in focus, just not quite with softened edges and high exposure?

That's what it should be. High key and soft focus around the edges. I assumed that with high key lighting the edges of my subject would be softer and it worked! But it hasnt paid off thus far in the voting. I still really like my shot though. That's all that matters isn't it?!
