This project had quite a lot of participants from DPC over the last 4 years, but at the end of last year, the team who had been hosting it and supporting the concept ran out of funding and shut the servers off.
For reference in case anybody is interested in seeing some of the history behind this idea I have linked the last 4 years threads.

SOFOBOMO 2009
SOFOBOMO 2010
SOFOBOMO 2011
I happened to check a flickr group I belong to and notice today that somebody else has taken the initiative to revive the project and host it on his own server. Now, the fuzzy month started already at the beginning of July, so it's a bit late to kick it off, but I thought I'd share in case anybody is interested. I know skip, hajeka, vlado and several other DPC users were involved over the years.
Anyone interested? It doesn't look like this is gaining much traction right now....

Thanks for posting. Nice to see it's continuing. It's late indeed, but there are still a few days left to think about it. |

Sent a pm to a few other users who have done this before :)
My fuzzy month will be 1st August - 31st August. Title of book escapes me at the moment, but the project will be "shallow depth of field". Meaning really I use only the 50/1.4 or 85/1.4. Let's see how I get on.

No complete plan yet, but I want to make outside photos this time and going to limit myself to the road to my work. (With a radius of 1 mile around that road). Driving there daily (on my bike), rushing to get to work or to home, always a pause on the ferry, but perhaps this is way to stop more often :)
The road is from Zaandam to Amsterdam (a 9 km ride). So the end result can be flowers, animals, macros, art, architecture, industry, transport, landscape or a mix of them all. No idea about the title yet.
My fuzzy month will be from Jul 26th until Aug 26th.

I've promised to do this twice now and never made it :-(
If someone can go to the effort to revive the project, I can definitely go to the effort to complete mine, count me in!
I will also aim for the month of August. |

Looking forward to see your book. I'm sure you can make it this time. |

I did the 2009 & 2010 sofobomo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will get of my arse and do it again this year... had the photos last year, but lacked the time and motivation to put them together into a book... but this year will be different... I hope. :)

It was a month with some handicaps, but I just finished my book :)
It's on issuu (nice for viewing) and blurb (nice for printing). |

For some reason I didn't see this until today ... :-(
I'd gotten an earlier email/PM assessing interest -- I guess I thought there'd be another email when it got going. |

Well done! I don't know if I'll make it in time. I have had visitors for the last 4 weeks and have had no free time, but I still have a few days |

Well I guess I missed the deadline in the end. I always knew it was going to be a stretch this year, |
