I had the pleasure of meeting Bear_Music and PennyClicka few weekends ago. It was a wonderful visit. Bear recommended some good places to take photos, which I took advantage of. We had a nice luncheon of Bear's cooking, and he gave me a very quick tutorial on CS6. I was able to view my photos that I had taken during the weekend for the first time on a computer screen, thanks to him. I was camping with my sister so we did not have everything available, such as a computer. We had been to Provincetown, Cape Cod Light, a winery, Fort Hill, and we had experienced a huge thunderstorm Saturday night before visiting Bear and Penny on Sunday, before heading home, so I had lots of photos to see.
This was my first actual meeting with another DP member, and most likely Bear is the one most people who have met DPC ers have met. I hope this is one of many more visits with other DP folks. Bear's hospitality is great and he made my sister and I feel very comfortable. So did Penny. She is a wonderful person. Thanks to both for making us welcome in your stomping ground.

Lucky you, Junie! A visit to the den of the mighty Bear himself, with what some 40+ years of photography under his belt? And I've heard about his cooking too, yummm....and I'm sure Penny's no lightweight in that department, either. Must get after a certain redhead to get his frickin passport so us Canuckistanians can invade Massachusetts!
And yes, it is fun to meet and shoot with other DPCers. That's how I met Magnumphotography, I wanted someone to go shoot for challenges with, and sucked the poor unsuspecting guy into the vortex of DPC ;-)

Now that is a great analogy. Sucked into the vortex of DPC. I think that would make a great challenge topic. |

LOL!! And seeing how I was in turn sucked into the DPC vortex by RayEthier, yet another C-TR (Canon-Toting Redhead), it seems only fitting! And hey don't be afraid to post your idea in the Challenge Suggestion section of the Forums, you just never know. So glad you had a lovely visit with them. |

"Beloved"? Sheesh...

She's a good candidate, but for absolute certain it's not me; I haven't met all that many DPCers at all. Anyone who attended the DPC GTG in NYC last year has me beat right there, I bet...

I was thinking the same thing. I just didn't have the guts to put it in writing. :-D

Oh, I completely agree. I'm not in her league, not at all. All I have going for me is fangs... |

What with the renewed interest in vampirism and the recent advances in CGI modeling of actors, I'm expecting a movie any day starring the undead Bob Hope, "Fangs For The Memories" ... |

Mae West will co-star: "Fangs for the Mammaries" is the working title...
