really stupid question, but is the trigger mounted on the camera backwards? I have triggers, and the first time I set it up, I had it turned around in the hot shoe (yes, it fit that way, too). So they talked to each other, but didn't trigger the flash.
Another thought is, in my triggers, there are dip-switches that can be manually set. Are they set the same?
Third thought: I have to use a synch cable when I want to use the triggers as a remote shutter release. I've had difficulties with it simply because of the order in which I've plugged things in. I need to leave the trigger turned off, and plug it in to the trigger before plugging into the camera. Then turn on the trigger. (It's not that it doesn't work in a different order, but that it actually functions incorrectly -- setting off the camera multiple times until I unplug it.)
