| I think the voters have abandoned this challenge... Went to bed with 12 votes and woke up with 12 votes... small, slow increase to 17 now. |

Not only that, but I find the pace and the number of votes are quite low as well - in all challenges, lately...
I guess we're shooting ourselves in the foot. :-(

i'm going to try to comment on all photos (i guarantee at least 50%), what i like, don't like, or the reason you get a low score.
i'm sure i'll be handing out some dnmc votes on this given interpretation of the language and difference between abandoned and its synonyms, but i'll let you know if that happens.
i won't get into it here as i don't want to start a big discussion or be told i'm trying to change voting perceptions, i'm just being honest and upfront given the people referring to low scores here.
as far as scores go:

I put a decent amount of effort into my shot, going out to reshoot after not being satisfied with my first attempt, and foregoing entering other challenges to focus on this.
I think that if we all do this (not rush shots to get something in every challenge) and take the time to do each one right, we'll all see improvements. I know that this image is sitting well above my average and is currently my 3rd highest rated image. I hope it continues to rise as that will be worth the effort i put in. |

| Not watchng scores, but after reading the comments here, I think tha challenge will score low anyway because of the nature of it. Not pretty photos of sunsets or flowers. This is hardcore. Most can't handle it. |

I should not have entered. These are amazing images. Mine really SUCKS!!!! And I was so proud of it. Then when I saw all the photos, I really was mre than a little wishing I had deleted it at the last moment, but I didn't and now my cumulative is going to go down again. |

Yup. Many were quite overdone. However, I think abandoned really lends itself nicely to topaz. Nikonjeb's stuff has ruined me for abandoned things without it. (just teasing, but it has gone a long way to helping me really appreciate abandoned things with it. :)
