Hi
I have seen many time where you have this snap , while everything will be black and white, eyes would be coloured, or something that effect.
My need is to change background color of picture sample 1 and 2 to a light color say off white, cream without changing the color embroidery. Sample 1

I think there is a way you can filter out the black or green in your background. I have not yet mastered this, but I think someone here will be able to help you. good luck. :)

In short, Photoshop
Sample 1 looks fairly simple, select the greens colour range and colourize / lighten to suit. Will take a bit of fiddling.
This took 2 mins
Sample 2 looks much trickier since the difference between the embroidery and the orange highlights of the material is much much closer if not similar.
I'm sure someone with much more experience in PS than me will be able to help though.

in PS fromthe menu - select-color range and pick the background with the color sampler. then with that as your active selection, usethe paint bucket to flood fill the color you want. you will have to touch up a bit
OR
use magic wand or other selection tool to isolate the dress and copy it into a new pic/image/file (it will appear on it's own layer). then fill the background laywer with a color of your choice.
there are probably other ways...
