I might have an opportunity to get someone connected with a world-record contender Wheelchair racer in Atlanta. He's also heading to the Paralympics this year. He recently narrowly missed setting a world record due to a non-crash accident that impaired his equipment, but he had been well on pace to break it. He took first anyway but didn't pick up the record.
Sadly, I don't think he knows anyone who knows how to operate a camera, since the photos he keeps posting on his blog and sending me are barely Facebook cellphone picture quality.
I don't know if he would be able to offer any cash, as he is a real grassroots kind of guy - not exactly a millionaire, but it would be a good way to get some recognition and pad a portfolio. Plus, if he liked your work, I would encourage him to put some cash out and get some pics done regularly. I am hoping that when he goes to the Paralympics, they will have site photogs that can contribute pics to him.
In the surrounding time, might be a work opportunity or it might be just remain a fun thing.
I think he needs some serious updating for his profile pictures and some action shots as well. Probably some race shots too.
