since i reinstalled windows i am trying out LR4 again.

one thing that has really bugged me is when right clicking and editing in photoshop, LTR creates a psd or tiff copy file and i apply settings to that tiff or pdfs. if i go back and edit the psd or tiff i lose all my LR edits. this previously wasnt the case in LR3.

is this an issue with the proper Adobe RAW version not being available yet or do I have some other setting not right? |

I can't test right now but I don't believe this happens in LR4.1 RC2 and the latest (and last version of the) RAW converter for CS5.

The release was not ready for prime time.

There's still problems in 4.1, but it's MUCH improved.

You can install it even if you haven't bought the license yet.

I keep holding off on lr4 because of all the performance issues.... CLEARLY not ready for prod and the fixed version still has issues by the looks of the community pages.

I downloaded a trial on a laptop to play around (and it was slower which means I will not install on my main machine yet).... I was hoping the book stuff would be better but it's meh from my playing around. Disappointing since the noise painting and stuff would be nice. |
