Hi. What is the Canon "L" lenses equivalent designation for other lens manufactures?

You mean their top of the range ones or lenses that are considered as good as the L's
I know sigma is EX( gold band ) and are nice lenses

Not all companies are so pretentious ;0
But I kid. I agree with Giles about Sigma, but it's EX (typo I imagine). Tamron has so many designations I'm not quite sure...
Tokina I think would be AT-X PRO. |

It's a rather arbitrary designation. I think just looking at reviews and comparisons of the focal lengths you're interested in is the best way to go.
