Hi. What is the Canon "L" lenses equivalent designation for other lens manufactures?

Thanks,
Paul

You mean their top of the range ones or lenses that are considered as good as the L's

I know sigma is EX( gold band ) and are nice lenses

Edit: iPhone typing error :)

Not all companies are so pretentious ;0

But I kid. I agree with Giles about Sigma, but it's EX (typo I imagine). Tamron has so many designations I'm not quite sure...
Tokina I think would be AT-X PRO.

It's a rather arbitrary designation. I think just looking at reviews and comparisons of the focal lengths you're interested in is the best way to go.

(sorry, not an answer to your question, I know)

I go with the cheapest junk I can find.
