		| I have a Canon 580EX!! speedlight and I am considering adding two 430 EX!!. One of the things I want to do is high speed flash photography. This would require setting the whole system (every flash) to 1/32 power. Does anyone know if this can be done with the Canon flash system in master/slave mode? |

You can use the 580 on camera in commander to control the 430's down to 1/32 or whatever else you want. You must have the 580 on camera to do this, or you must get a IR commander unit to command the bunch of them off camera. I think they are called the ST-E2 for Canon.

ETA: Remember, using any visible light triggering, you are limited by distance and by ambient light amounts, as well as usually by line of sight.

I can fire my 420EX in HSS using a 580EX11 as the master.

Only way I could get it to fire though was with the master set to ETTL. Probably something messed up with my configuration that prevented it from firing with a manual output setting. |
