Someone sent me this link. It's a live, interactive may graphical;ly showing wind flow across the continent. Zoomable for more detail.

kind of looks like a Van Gogh night sky. Also interesting how there seems to be a direct correlation between areas of tex-mex cuisine popularity and wind rates.

ROFL!

That is a really cool presentation of wind data. Here is another cool site that a friend recently turned me on to. There are a *lot* of options, and you can play with the thing for hours on end, LOL.

Absolutely, I saw the wind chart and decided to kick into high gear my hiking to a photo spot. Just got back. I'm glad I made the decision to hike today.... it was based on the light breezes indication.
