I know this is a bit early and probably won't go anywhere anyway, but I thought an interesting twist on the annual "Best Of" challenge would be that you would submit it during that year (like the monthly FS's), BUT the date submitted has to be within a week of the date the image was taken and the entry cannot be retracted once it is submitted. The idea is that you would be betting it all in the hopes that you won't come up with a better shot later. |

Actually, this same concept could work for an occasional monthly FS as well. |

Ironically, I captured an image today which I would consider my best of the best ever. I've already dropped it into the May FS. But, I could change my mind. (in the next week, I guess!) |

You couldn't really call it a Best of year challenge though, since your window is only one week. It would be more like the Pot Luck challenge with a year long entry date. Us procrastinators would surely suffer. I think this might be the one to drive some right over the edge. ;P |

Can not say this would interest me. We had a photo club critique recently where we ended up waiting 6 months for the result. It was very anti-climatic. People did not even remember if they entered and/or what they entered :) |
