Take a photo where your subject is in the rain.

Challenge can last for 2 weeks, or just pray for rain.

Ha, we have had plenty of that over the last week. Today is the first dry day, but there is still plenty of flooding!

Yes but that usually means someone you know who will win, and............well I want to win, for once ;)

Colorado is very dry. We need rain. I've been fascinated in recent days with the virga falling from the clouds, but evaporating before hitting the ground. There is rain in the forecast, so I strongly support this challenge suggestion, if in Advanced Editing. Basic edit would be my second choice.

You could make your own rain with a hose or sprinkler. No need for Expert.

I predict very few entries... but one of those could be mine :)

Great idea! I would say the challenge should definitely last for at least two weeks if not a month (working sort of like the movember challenge). Anyways would be very fun

ETA: Advanced please :)

This is Phoenix, 6 days rain a year... praying won't help, but if the challenge time is one year, there is a chance... however, I can fake rain, since they water everything here since rain won't do it.

yeah, I say, go for it ;P

Oh come on, we have sunshine in Seattle at least 10 days per year! ;)

Although this topic would likely be to my benefit, it hardly seems it would be fair to those that live in drier climates. And if you make it an Expert challenge so those without natural rain can edit rain in- the fake rain will trump the real rain.

I am betting that, if this was an advance edit challenge, that those living in the Pacific Northwest would all be on the front page.

Well with a global site as this certain challenges will be of an advantage to certain people but I don't think that should deter us. I would like to see this challenge.

Has nobody heard of a hose, bucket or sprinkler? Creating the appearance of rain without expert is easy. Why are we always trying to dumb down challenge topics to some perceived universal accessibility requirement? Someone always has some advantage in every challenge.

Still I think the entry period should be at least two weeks. Hoses work, but there's nothing like real rain and we're more likely to get some real rain with a two week entry period.

ozmaster and Art Roflmao are right you can 'make' rain if there is no rain in your forecast.

Quigley created rain with his Rain Delay and scalvert with his Under the Weather (BTW both garnered ribbons and one of them was in Rain II Challenge))

So it is possible BUT I second the call for a challenge of this nature to be 2 weeks.

This would make a wonderful ongoing side challenge too!! Just to get out there on those rainy days and be a little creative while having somewhere to display your works!!
