Found this somewhat interesting
"Unknown photographs from when Adams was, if only for a few days, an urban photographer."
Everyone starts somewhere...
Flikr portfolio of many more
'The complete Ansel Adams material at the Los Angeles Public Library Photo Collection is seen by going to the Los Angeles Public Library Web Site, selecting "Browse the Photo Collection" on the main page and entering "Ansel Adams" in the "Author" search field. Entering "Ansel Adams" in the keyword field will bring up a slightly different selection.'

Today I saw what appeared to be an 'Ansel Adams' photograph, a black and white 4 x 6 photo in a frame, with his name embossed in gold on the mat. I don't know if it is a copy or a genuine one, it was about $ 5.00
Maybe I should go back and check it more, by taking it out of the frame? Even at that price, it isn't bad for a copy. The photo looked clear and sharp in each object of the image with rich blacks.
I think it was of a plant in front of some rocks, wish I had looked carefully, as I was in a hurry.
Another time I was in an antiques store, where it claimed to have one of his original prints, a small one in a very large old looking frame for about $ 300. |

Ansel Adams has to be one of my favorite photographers. I have looked at a lot of his photographs online and our local museum had a large exhibit of his work for viewing a few of years back. I was surprised to see that he did some color photographs and different types of subject matter that we mostly don't see when looking at his work. He had a wonderful eye and was a master photographer that knew his equipment and how to process the photographs he took.
Thanks for the link!
