So my coffee met my Macbook Pro and the keyboard isn't functioning well and it's having some other problems.

Would this be something I can submit to homeowners insurance? I just don't have the cash to replace this & I'm not going to go into debt to replace it either. What say you?

my mac book pro suffered a similar large glass of red wine incident, opened it sprayed it with electrical cleaning solution dried it out, new keyboard was £33 and i fitted it sorted it been fine since, changing keyboard is really easy on them although i used to fix multi million dollar servers hehe

Fixing it yourself isn't horribly expensive, but it will be a rich cup of coffee.

Considering what the deductible is on most home insurance in this area, and the following increase in premiums, I wouldn't even consider contacting my insurance agent.

Anything under a grand is not worth the time or effort.

You'll end up paying more in the long run due to higher premiums.

Unless your house burns down or some other catastrophic damage, avoid a HO claim at all costs.
