I think that it can be a very interesting/dark challenge.
If you don't familiar with the song, here is a beuatiful cover made by Johnny Cash -
Further On Up the Road
Where the road is dark and the seed is sowed
Where the gun is cocked and the bullet's cold
Where the miles are marked in the blood and gold
I'll meet you further on up the road
Got on my dead man's suit and my smilin' skull ring
My lucky graveyard boots and song to sing
I got a song to sing, keep me out of the cold
And I'll meet you further on up the road.
Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Where the way is dark and the night is cold
One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road.
Now I been out in the desert, just doin' my time
Searchin' through the dust, lookin' for a sign
If there's a light up ahead well brother I don't know
But I got this fever burnin' in my soul
Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Further on up the road
One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road
One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road.
And here is the original by Bruce Springsteen

I wouldn't mind a Cash or a Springsteen challenge, but one song is just too limiting. |

I'll take the other side for this debate: I've always felt a challenge like "John Lennon Songs" or "(Name of Artist) Lyrics" is too wide open to be very interesting, it's just another free study. I'm interested, though, in what happens when we get the entire site focused on a particular poem or song and interpreting it visually. I think that's a MUCH more interesting challenge.

Like Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken"
I've always LOVED that, and I think it would do well as a challenge.

Or Yeats's "Sailing to Byzantium".
The Frost might be a little limited for a challenge, as far as visual imagery goes it's pretty much a one-trick pony... How many country lanes do you want to see in a single challenge?
