I'm experiencing problems with viewing videos. Whether on Vimeo, Youtube, or elsewhere, they get started then freeze up around 1:30 into it, regardless of how long the video is (well, obviously longer than 1:30!). I tried reloading the page, pausing, restarting the video. I've rebooted, cleaned out my cache, run the optimizer. I'm not having any other trouble with graphics whatsoever, just video. Any ideas? |

Do you know what kind of video format the problematic ones are? There are numerous common formats and multiple players that can view them. The problem is likely related to one specific player that you have installed.

On youtube she should be able to view all videos....Plus it would never start if it was the wrong format. the 1:30 sec tells me its either ram or a virus

I've got my virus protection set pretty high. I have about 8 gigs of ram on that computer, so it wouldn't be that. Besides, it also seems to be happening on this computer, but not as severely, it just does the intermittent fits and starts, which is frustrating to watch. It's various different players and they're all behaving the same. I'll try the adobe thing, since that seems to be the usual culprit. Maybe it's just the interwebs are cranky today... |

If it's happening on more than one computer at your location, it could be your net connection is not fast enough to handle the download rate at this time.

One thing you may want to check is your video acceleration settings.
1) Right-Click on your Desktop and select Properties
2) Click the Settings tab
3) Click Advanced
4) Click the Troubleshoot tab
5) Check that the slider is on Full. If not, slide it to Full. If it is already there, then you simply got some exercise and will still have the issue. :)
