It's the world's first digital instant camera! The Z340, like magic, delivers instant prints like the Polaroids of yesteryear with a little added bonus. It shoots glorious 14 megapixel digital photos that you can save and edit! |

| I am headed to Nicaragua this August for a mission trip and have been looking at items like this to have with me to be able to take and print pics of the locals right there and then and hand them off. This looks like it could be ideal. What I am trying to figure out is whether or not there is a battery charger outside of the camera. With being able to only take and print 25 images on one battery I want to be able to have another charging that I can swap out without having to hook up the camera to charge the battery. Anyone see any info in that regard? |

They have them at B&H, and extra batteries. The main price is the same, but their refills of paper are a bit more than the original link. I bet you could call them though with your questions.

| Looks like the only way to charge the battery is to plug in the camera. That won't work for what I need. Now looking at a straightforward instant camera - Fuji Instax 210. Takes AA batteries which I like. Wouldn't be able to have digital copies of the pics I take with it - but then the purpose is to be able to give the locals pics of themselves. This one might work out well. |

specs say this
Inserting an SD card also lets you upload custom borders and photos taken on other digital cameras
so, you could use it as just a portable printer, too, @ ~$0.50 /print.... could be a lot of interesting uses. other portable photo printers look to be in the $150 range and all they do it print |
