For street then It'd be mostly shots taken after sundown. Not exactly street, but woul indoor candids work as well?

definitely inside buildings too---great artificial lighting in many stores

The quality of street challenges is usually low, with the limit of the artificial light it can be even worse :)

Erik Kim shoots street with flash on occasion with good results, although flashing random strangers may lead to brushes with the law due to exposure issues ;-p

Never used a flash in the street, I suppose if it's well done you wouldnt notice anyway, im always willing to try new stuff so I'd give this a go.
