I definitely will stick with Apple just for familiarity.
Being in graphic design I pretty much have avoided windows my entire life. Whether that's good or bad depends on who you ask ;)
As for iPad - since we have the first generation iPad and 2 iPhones, I'm unlikely to pick up a new iPad unless it offers something that makes it much more useful than iPad 1. Is there anything? Other than the camera, of course?

I'm looking at tablets & drooling, but things are changing so quickly, no sure what I want to do. Samsung Galaxy 10.1 is $499 - your gift card will just about cover that (sans tax, of course). |
wait for windows 8, or get an ipad (i cant believe i just said that). android is that bad. half the apps are scaled up from the phone OS, and the other half crash. web browsing is a nightmare and forget participating in a forum the keyboard lag is nuts and no keyboard spellcheck???
they are nice in the store but get it home and use it and you hate it.
in all seriousness i have used android and windows phone 7 and wp7 just destroys it, hopefully windows 8 does the same on the tablets and actually competes with apples user experience. Samsung already said they are releasing win 8 tablets this fall. |

Hmm, do you know if they will price-match with purchases online?

Never hurts to ask, but most likely stores in your local area. Just hope you get a good sales person. |

I don't like Best Buy, so as such I'd make someone a deal and sell it to them for $400 pocket the cash or spend it online somewhere else. You get cash, they get an extra hunnerd to spend and you are both happy. |

Many "price-matching" deals require you to produce an advertisement from a local store, and, more importantly, it must be for the exact same produst. Many stores will order so many units that the manufacturer will bring out a model number just for them -- another store's unit may have exactly the same features, but a different model number. |

OK - so my online experience with Best Buy has left me determined to never spend actual money there - I am determined to go use the card in the actual store.
And then never go there again =)
Anyway, I have a LCD TV and an old receiver and I'm thinking of finally getting a nice little surround sound setup that works with my Wii and DVR â€Â¦
It's been so long since I have done this I'm looking for some advice.
Looking at something like this â€Â¦
Can I easily have the Wii / DVR/cable / TV going through the receiver and pumping out nice sound?
I see some of them have Wi-Fi which I suppose means I will no longer need to run Netflix through the Wii?
THen I wonder whether I should add in an Apple TV or Google TV to the mix but considering that I watch about 3 hours of TV per week, not sure if that is called for.
Any opinions out there? |

Exactly...well... When I used to work for an appliance manufacturer, we would produce "vendor specific" models under our brand these would vary ever so slightly between SKU's. For a clothes washer, maybe the spin cycle on one was 15 minute and the other 16 minutes. We'd also make two different similar models for each vendor so that they could always have one on sale because if the same SKU was always at a "sale" price, the "sale" price wasn't a "sale" price, it was just the price and couldn't be advertised as being on sale. |

I decided to spend some time yesterday (my birthday) on a shopping spree at Best Buy.
It sounds like fun, RIGHT -- HAHAH.
Well with wife and all 3 kids involved, not quite as fun as it sounds.
Anyway, I decided on this which believe it or not, BEST BUY TOOK 50$ OFF when I told them Amazon had it for 300! â€Â¦ Didn't even try to force me into a service contract! =)
Anyway, so far so good. My wife also threw in a bunch of little things (including Spartacus DVDs - which I figured was my gift to her and might help her appreciate the new sound setup ;/)
â€Â¦ and the kids got a Hello Kitty projecting alarm clock. although if it were up to the 3-year-old, we would have owned 4 Strawberry Shortcake movies and a Barbie video game and whatever else she could reach on the shelves.
The only disappointment was that I didn't spend the entire thing yet - haha.
