In voting, I think there are many people who didn't read the full description of the Strength challenge, and are voting simply for the definition of Strength. I don't know if it is possible mid-stream to change the name to Strength/Power so as people will know that you could take a picture describing "Power" and not just be limited to "Strength" I've had 3 comments, and one of the 3 commented on the challenge being Strength and not power. This would seem to indicate that although my photo is fitting the requirements, my score would be dropping because of voters not knowing the full description, mainly because as they are voting, they are simply looking at the name of the challenge.
I mean, my photo has 99 votes, ave: 4.8684, if I go by comments (I know I can't), 1/3 of the votes are being scored at 2 because of "not fitting the theme. If those 1/3 votes are bumped up to even 5 (average), this would make my average jump up to: 5.8687 (which I think is a more accurate assessment of the photo.
Anyway, just ranting, but if it is possible to change the name of the challenge before the weekend voting kicks in would be nice.

Strength and Power mean the same thing to me. If you look up Strength in a thesaurus you will see the word Power. So I dont think this is something people are getting confused. The people that did, need to look up the word.
On my photo people are disliking the title and giving me bad marks I think. Im not complaining at all and if you dont like my photo then no worries at all. But I dont think rating my title is fair. I will admit my title is a bit off...

She said that she thought there was a difference between strength and power (which there is, taken in certain contexts), and that the challenge was called strength. She started a post (83395), before we pointed out to her that the description of the challenge was for a representation of strength or power. She thanked us for pointing that out, and she said that she would fix all her votes by the end of the voting. |

That is exactly my point...
I noticed SharQ's thread earlier, and thought, she at least is leaving a note about how she votes, and I thought, here is one person that has recognized it (only because she posted the question in the forum) and will change it, how many others out there who are going through the voting one time, will not come back and change it (or do not read the forums to see the true meaning of the theme).
Seems like a simple thing to fix the name of the challenge so that it fits the definition better (Strength/Power). That way would clear it up for people who will still be voting. I mean with 295 photos to vote on, how many people will actually go through the whole list once, and then be able to go back and change all of their votes the way they should be.

| i am getting identical comments about my photo representing power instead of strength- I want to PM those commentors and politely point out the challenge descrip.-but I'm afraid that it would be breaking the anonymous rules. |

Hehe, if you changed it to Stength/Power it would confuse those that can not imagine what Strength divided by Power is. Some people just do not read what is there, but what they expect to be there. I have thought several times, while reading the challenge description, that it was left way too vague. This is likely intentionaly as being too precise with the wording will restrict the pictures to a bland sameness.
Knowing the above, I submitted a picture I know would take a hit because it was centered on Power, not Strength. I have not received any comments along this line though. It is doing better than I expected though, with an average that is still climbing with the weekend voters yet to be tallied.
