| It is driving me bananas! Is there a permanent fix? From my point of view it is a completely unwanted feature. |

| Do you mean when you do an edit? It doesn't stack unless you let it. When you set up a filter, say going to Nik, or exporting, you tell it whether or not you want it to stack the results when you set up the filter. |

Do you mean when you edit in Photoshop from Lightroom ? If so untick the box at the bottom of "what to Edit".
photo > edit in > edit in ps then right click for box mentioned above.
Hope you understand this. |

| Thanks, Neil and Neil. I can see Stack box on Export to Photomatix, for NIK and others I found a Stack box in Preferences/External Editing. |

Ok, but I'm curious why you don't like stacking? My issue is that they won't let me do "enough of it"! For example, you cannot stack photos in different folders (like a reduced version in a "web" folder). Stacking is great after a shoot too, to reduce the shots to only those that are "different" (since I tend to bracket, and try many variations of the same theme).
Anyway, just curious.... |

I manually stack bracketed manually, and then use collections to weed out the keepers. But I just started with LR...is there a better way? |

| I keep on losing stacked photos, they seem to get stuck. I use labels, stars and flags for sorting. I am really not a serious photog and I don't bracket that much any more. |
