Yep! Just trying to hold on! I do have another entry for the week that is doing quite well. Thanks for doing this Scott. It adds another nice element to DP Challenge.

So, these are just your rankings for that particular week? If you don't enter any challenges that week, you won't be on it. Right?

Does everyone understand how the ranking works?

Correct. Each week is independent from one another. As long as you enter one challenge during the week you will be ranked. However, the more challenges you enter the better.

Correct. The link in the thread sends you to the main page where you will see the ranking for week 1 as default. At the bottom of the rankings you will see *Tabs* that will say WK1, WK2, WK3, etc. Instead of having 52 different spreadsheets, this way there is only one spreadsheet with 52 Tabs. Just Click on the weekly tab to view what you ranked for that week. The current week will always be the last tab.

I'm trying to find a way to reverse the order so the current week will be first on the TAB list, but haven't found out how.

definitely weighted towards the more experienced members who cherry pick challenges, entering as many challenges as you can to participate and improve doesnt bode you well on this scale.

61st this week dropped 30 places. still in the top 100 and enjoying my time on dpc :)

How do you figure? You are ranked 61st because you received 66 more points that the person you are tied with because you have entered more challenges, up'ing your overall score. If you would have not entered two challenges you would looking at about 100 pts less and ranked 128th. (quick math!)

i wasnt having a go, just i will enter an image into a challenge even if i know it'll score a 4.5-5 because i like it or it cahllenges ppl like my noose in freedom challenge etc which doesnt bode well for doing well on this scale, which can dramitcal drop your average if you have a 6.7 image in one challenge and a 5 in another. what place would you be compared to just entering the good image?

appreciate the effort involved in data collection and processing though and always nice to see how you are doing

I hope you don't think I was upset at your post, I was not. I always welcome feedback from all users. If anyone has a better way of ranking users, I will consider it. It's a balancing act. You have to consider a lot of variables. Who should be ranked higher? High score, entries, handicapping, so many things to look at.

Since the reason for these stats is to hopefully increase participation, I have been considering a third point column based on entries. I just have not figured out how to award points to make it fair. I welcome any input on this matter.

Thank you for you input and participation.

I think you need to look a little more closely. For example: Look at the top 10. MargaretN is currently in 7th place, with a gorgeous average of above 7. Yet places 1-6 have significantly lower averages for the week, but they're much higher in the ranking because they entered more challenges.

Scott has set this up so that it does balance things out.

I plan on entering less challenges this year so don't expect to see me in the list for long, nicely done though Scott.
