Ewww!
In terms of showing affection, all I can say is, if I saw tongue in the shot (no matter whose) you got my base score. The more subtle the representation of affection, the higher the score. C'est ca. |

The challenge description doesn't say that the images have to portray affection in a subtle way, it seems a bit unfair to me to essentially vote down some great quality shots that fit the challenge just because they're not done the way you would do them (which is what it appears to boil down to.) I'm not against your ideal by the way, I do agree that a less in-your-face display of affection can be just as moving and lovely. Just my 2p!
Anyhoo, I was happy with my score this morning but now, not so much; I got a really lovely comment earlier though. I've done all my voting, really liked a good deal of the images, some real corkers and some beautiful displays of pet-n-person love, both of the licking and subtle varieties. I've commented on quite a few, will try and get some more done throughout the week.

| The absolute literal conversations of a challenge is a DPC flaw. If there is a person and a pet in the image then it meets the criteria for the challenge in my eyes. |

Mine has dive-bombed in the last 15 minutes, also with no voter count change. Weird.
Since posting in this thread, my vote count has barely moved and I've dropped a ridiculous amount. Wonderful.

IMHO I didn't vote anyone down; seeing that my base score is 5, that's more than fair. Nobody got less than a 5 from me. But only really different/well done kissy shots got more than 5. Those that went that extra mile were rewarded.

| Here they say "langue de chien trousse de médecin" which translates as "dogs tongue doctors bag" because of the healing benefits of letting your dog lick your wound, best keep them away from any other dog poo before attempting it though :) |
