Part of a wine aerator? or a screen from a cocktail shaker?

It's the output strainer for a George Foreman Apple Press with latte positraction. :-) |

This is the lens at Tybee Island light station.
It is a first order lens and has a foca length of 920mm and is still in the lamp room in the light house.

Why does that word "fresnel" ring a bell for me? I am sure I heard of it in the military but I didn't know it was the lighthouse glass. Is it the magnifying glass in a lensatic compass?
I recall it being one of those "trivia" words. Like "How many trucks are on this installation?" A "truck" is the ball at the top of the main flagpole, traditionally said to contain a razor blade, a match, and a .45 bullet. Supposedly, If the base is over ran and you are the last person, you cut the american flag into strips, burn it with the match and "off" yourself with the bullet. No one can answer me on how to get the flagpole down...

Over sand dunes? I'm assuming that this was taken downward as there is shadow depth and direction indicating the marks are actually raised features such as snow over a sand dune.

You're 180 degrees off, LOL. They are indentations made by grass blades blowing in the wind.
Anyway, you got the snow part nailed, and the dunes: you're up.

Heh...very cool. I thought at first it looked like a tight crop but then I wasn't sure if it was just noise. I'll post something in a bit. I have a good one, it should be easy, I just need to find it. |

LOL, I'm so addicted to this thread that I have three loaded up and ready to go. Now all I have to do is get one right! :-P
ETA: I guess it's appropriate that this is the 1400th post in the thread (!)
