My little 10 yo (5th grade) fell off a climbing structure at school yesterday, resulting in a phone call and her being taken home immediately afterwards.

She landed mostly on her back, but partly on her head. There was talk of 'concussion', which she overheard.

After getting home, unknown to us, she Googled on 'concussion' and told us that, "I don't want to worry you, but I have all the symptoms of a concussion."

Don't worry, DPC, she's OK. The nausea was pre-existing as she went to school that day with complaints, and currently has (had) a low grade fever.

Anyway.... I thought this was a humorous anecdote of the new generation.

They say genius skips a generation. My dad had a photographic memory and highest university average (McGill then on to Princeton), and my brother-in-law is one of those Mensa freaks.

Or, in other words, Slippy, when your little girl has low grades, she gets a fever. Takes after her ol' man, I'd say.
:)

PS glad to hear she's okay. keep an eye on her.
