Thank you everyone for helping me - much apreciated.

week 1 (actually only a few minutes into the new year :-))

OK, I have no idea what you can see. On the preview I get a red cross instead of an image, but this computer has been doing this to me all evening on different sites as well, so maybe you can see this picture.
There are times I could throw this machine out the window ... :-(.

Kasaba, open your own image up and there will be a URL at top that looks like this:

//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=990706

Copy the 6-digit number at the end, click the second icon from the left above this reply window, paste the number, and get THIS:

kasaba, if you want to use the image ID method, you have to first upload the photograph to your portfolio here. There is a way to post a thumbnail from flicker but I'm not sure of the steps involved.

or if using flickr click the share tab then the bbcode tab then choose small or thumbail then paste that code in

and you have to set it to be public viewable its set to private or friends only at mo

Oh shucks ... you mean in the actual "address line" ??? I think I got it. I was looking on the image trying to find a code ON the image .... DHUUUU ... Oh boy

Oh, I didn't know about BBcodes and the public/private issue ... will try that as well with my "week 2" photograph.

Lets try and push my luck ...
week 2 straight off flickr ...

I got myself a polaroid filter a few weeks back and only got a chance to try it out yesterday for the first time. I had great fun experimenting with it. Got some weird pictures, but this one is "pretty" and glitzy.
