Tomorrow's the day for Northern California GTG
Meet at the Gallery between 9:30 and 10:00
678 Portola Drive, San Francisco, 94127 - Park in the lower parking lot behind the church, please.
I'll be there a bit earlier to open up.
From the Gallery we'll head up the hill to the Twin Peaks Overlook. With any luck we
will get there before all the tour buses. Also before the haze hits the skyline.
After that? The day is up for grabs. There's the Zoo, the Beach, Downtown, any of the
districts. Glen Canyon. |

Can you post recommended directions from the Bay Bridge onward? MapQuest's seem kinda bizarre ...

Ummm, they are actually pretty good, Paul. But I've amplified them a bit.
Merge onto US-101 N/Central Fwy toward Golden Gate Bridge.
0.7 mi Take the US-101 N/Mission St exit, EXIT 434A, toward Duboce Ave/G G Br.
0.2 mi
Keep left to take the ramp toward Duboce Ave.
0.05 mi
Turn slight right onto Duboce Ave. Stay on Duboce to Market St.
0.3 mi
Turn left onto Market St. Market St is 0.1 miles past Guerrero St
2.1 mi
Take Market St through the Castro and up the hill where it becomes Portola Dr.
0.7 mi
678 PORTOLA DR is on the right.
Your destination is 0.1 miles past Woodside Ave
If you reach Sydney Way you can turn into the parking lot behind the purple church. |

| Unfortunately, I will not make it tomorrow. I'm on Antibiotics for a nasty sinus infection and I'm feeling much better, but I went out today and did about an hour of yard work and it about did me in. I could show up tomorrow and hangout for a while, but I know I'd peter out in an hour or two and the drive is just to long for that. I really wish I could be there to finally meetup with some local DPC'rs and earlier in the week I was sure I'd be further along in my recovery, but this bug is tenacious. I hope you all have a great time and hope to see you next time. |

Sorry you can't make it  BaldurT. No fun being sick and I hope you are over the infection very, very soon.
One of these days there will be another GTG...that's a given.
It was thoughtful of you to post, so we wouldn't wonder what happened. |
