I bought the National Geographic "Complete Photography" before Christmas. Actually I received it right before Thanksgiving. Anyway I have had a chance to read through it (not in detail yet) and I am very satisfied. Of course it is Nat Geo. Has anyone purchased this book, and if you have purchased it what are your reviews of it. Would you tell a new photographer to buy it for helpful tips....etc.

it's a nice resource, one of many on my shelf.
i also recommend anything by bryan peterson, as well as just about anything in the amphoto catalog. |

I have never heard of the Amphoto catalog....I will definitely check it out
