I am reaching out to the collective experts at Dp for some help. I am trying to resize a photo I took from a 7 x 5.45 to a 7 x 5 to fit into a template. Everytime I use free transform it looks distorted. Any suggestion, as I am rather frustrated at this point. Thank you in advance, Tammy |

You're not going to be able to without distorting it. The best you can do is check the constrain checkbox, then add borders to the top & bottom of the 7" side. |

i dont know about Photoshop, but gimp had a plugin that would resize an image without distorting it. it depends on your image, but it somehow stretches the unimportant area and keeps the important part proportional. i thought this was supposed to make it into Photoshop.
i can seem to find any info on it. |

I'm using an older version of PS, so I don't know what the newer ones might have. What's the plugin called in gimp? |

Can you just set the crop tool to 7x5 and crop? |

I end up with empty space on either side. I cant crop down too much or I lose some body parts. |
