I'm working on remaking my website and am stuck on something that I don't know how to do. I have been to different websites and when you click on a photo, instead of going to a different page it will open a new window with just a larger version of the photo in it. I am using Dreamweaver MX and was wondering if any of you know how to do this with that program. Please let me know here or you can email me at jeremy@landbountiful.com. Thanks! |

if you select the link to the image you want to open you only have to choose target _blank from th properties box |

Yup, just link straight to the image. You can probably even find an extension on the Dreamweaver exchange that will set the window size to the dimensions of the image (but, for that you may need it to be an actual page anyways). I've used the Dreamweaver exchange for other stuff and there is a lot of interesting stuff developed on there that is available, if you have a licensed copy of Dreamweaver MX.

if the site is coded from dreamweaver - it may be difficult to get the regular javascript to work properly.
i would look into the options built into dreamweaver for a solution.
although i have used this in the past.
it loads an html page that contains your image.
sets it to the top left of the screen, and sizes it to a specific dimension.
from thepoolwizard.com
and this goes with the links ( tumbnails )
