I've used Shutterfly in the past, but this year tried Lulu, and ordered the large size before I realized it might be impossible to mail! (On the plus side, I think I can get away with mailing only one... I'll use the box the order came in for that one.)
I'm VERY pleased with the quality! The paper isn't paper, it's VERY heavy cardstock. Colors and quality of the prints are awesome. My one and only nit is they have a hole in the photo at the top when it would be a lot better to have that little hanger loop on top of the wire cage. Though to be fair, the thing is really quite heavy and that might not hold the calendar.
Here's the calendar
P.S. It doesn't tell you the size, but it's 13.5" x 19" and does NOT fold in half - it is bound at the top.

Beautiful photos, I would be very happy with a calendar like that. I always mean to make one but then I forget and the time passes. That and a photo book, I really need to follow through on some personal projects :) |

We just did our calendar with them too. Outstanding quality. Had a bit of a bother publishing the version I wanted, and ended up with a stack of the earlier version, but it's more my fault than anyone else's...

+1 for Lulu! Their standard sized calendars are also very nice quality. I've used them for several years now. Also did my daughter's wedding album with them and loved how it turned out. Plus, if you do something as a fundraiser you can split the profit with that group automagically. Or if you have a co-author or something. Good folks to do business with. |

Here's our Cape Cod calendar, if anyone's interested.
(I'm assuming Deb put this thread up for all to show what they are doing; if not, say the word Deb and I'll yank this...)

I did the small calendar on lulu, I think the printing was ok. Is the larger calendar a higher print quality then the smaller calendars? If anyone knows? Thanks!

Ours is the 8.5 x 17 version. Deb's is the larger one.

I enjoyed looking at the calendars, very nice!!
Might get one done for the family, can one add important dates, such as birthdays on the calendar, so they don't forget?

Oddly enough, I didn't have our names on that calendar anywhere, I'm fixing that now LOL.
I didn't see any way to customize the dates for Lulu, no. You can pick from lists of holidays for different regions, but that's all I saw.

Very nice calendars, Melethia and Bear_Music / PennyClick - and Hot_Pixel too!
Rob, you can set up your own dates: Click on the "Events" icon, then on the "Your Personal Events" tab you can add and activate / de-activate any given event. You can even combine yours with those pre-defined by Lulu.
I did mine this year as well, if you guys want to take a look:

There was a way to insert personalized dates into the calendar, Robert, but unfortunately I didn't get around to picking all my wild and crazy dates to include this year so I just used the standard holidays. Next year I WILL start earlier! (That's what I say every year, and I think I start later and later...)
And an unexpected bonus - an overseas friend of mine bought a copy! How cool is that? Wasn't expecting to sell any - just thought I'd share that I was pleased with the result!
Oh, and I may re-do at the standard size and order a copy of that as well - I'll let you know how it compares with the large version.

Definitely can do the dates with LuLu...last year I not only put my relatives BD's on the calendar but also my husband's days off (they rotate each wk) along with the holidays...really handy when your trying to plan a trip or some relative wants to see when they can come to visit...
the hard part that I had was that I had to create a 2nd calendar for my mother-in-law as she isn't interested in all the 65 events of my family...(that doesn't sound right....she does care...just not to the level of my nieces/nephews, grand-nieces/nephews BD's, plus Anniversaries of all) |

I did that with Shutterfly, Janine - made at least five different versions one year, to incorporate different family dates into each one for specific relatives. Would have done it this year, too, but ran out of time. That, and I need my Dad to give me his copy so I can write down the dates for next time! |

this will be my first year back to LuLu...I'm hoping that all my dates are saved and all I will have to do is "tweak" them...my husband's schedule being the biggest tweak... |

Great looking calendars everyone! Am I too late to do my own for a few Christmas presents? Does anyone know how quick they are? |

they are pretty quick once you finalize your calendar....and even if they arrive just after it's no big deal (at least that's what I'm counting on...lol) |

To get them by the 24th, you need to order by the 15th (expedited) or 16th (express).
Check Lulu shipping notes here. |

Great work, Gang. I've always wanted to do my own calendar, but it does require a certain amount of self-discipline to get organized and when that's done sit down and do it.... |
