Time flies. Do you think 19 challenge entries in the last year is enough to warrant renewing my membership?

It's funny, I felt like I hardly spent any time here this year, I was surprised it was as many as 19, thought it would be about 8!

You could always let it lapse and see if you miss entering any of the challenges. But it all depends on you. I think it is well worth the $2 something a month when you buy the year membership just for the community. There are still many great dpc people here that will not hesitate to help or offer feedback. Do you think you will try and enter more next year or is it going to be less next year?

I have also just renewed.
Entered 27 challenges and collected 6 ribbons (still blown away by this)
Best year ever.
Hopefully 2012 is as successful.

Pay the cash - get on board.

Right now it's likely to be less next year. I've gotten quite into the photography community on Google+ and find myself visiting there now more often than DPC.

You do make a good point though, renew it if I find reason to do so next year.

For the cost of membership it is absolutely worth it..

Good year for you, but then I've always admired your photography so that doesn't surprise me :)

Not much chance of me ribbioning these days, still nice to get the honest feedback from challenges though, you don't get that anywhere else.

That depends on the quality and the originality of the entries. I'll take a look...

...uhh, yeah, okay. I see some originality mixed with some humor and the quality is certainly there.

You do good work so it would be a shame to see you completely disappear from here. However, there really is nothing wrong with taking a break. Maybe you'll find that you miss it if you are gone for a bit?

I just had a similar dilemma as I enter much fewer challenges than I used to but then I like the instant gratification from comments and scores and motivation DPC gives me. There is just nothing equivalent. I tried other sites but this one is still the best. And for most employed people it is affordable.

Don't think I would (could?) ever disappear completely, DPC has a strange draw on you! I do however think I'll let it lapse a bit like has been suggested and see if I feel the need to renew, that will pretty much tell me.

Over the last few years I've been on and off but I always renew anyways. I love it here whether or not I'm "active."

Well, it is significantly more than the one challenge I did enter and that was only because Beetle made me do it when I was visiting her and her husband in Australia.
