This should be a very good week. I'm on track to replace two of my top five. One of them I don't really want to see on my top five but DPC voters apparently do :) |

Hope your good score holds or continues to go up! |

If one wants to get higher votes in DPC...here's some tips to keep in mind in your composition...

Get on a plane and find the most exotic scenery you can find (preferrably an ocean...unless you already live in such a place).

Set up a shot of a bee on a flower, complete with water drops. Make sure that something falls into some sort of liquid in this shot, catching the splash brilliantly and, if you can...throw in a very physically fit nude model or two for good measure.

 LOL ;)

 Joking

But...well...even in joking, there's some truth to it. |

Let me simplify that for you. Take a picture and photoshop the heck out of it and you will get votes... Only if your name is Gyaban can you do anything and it will come out well

 Really???

PhotoShop is a tool.....it's only as good as its user.

It will *not* fix a bad photograph...

Oh....and by the way..... You should probably read this excerpt on gyaban's profile page:

" I am not afraid of strong edits, as long as they serve a purpose: the resulting image and its impact is the most important to me, whatever the path taken to create it. Conceptual photography and surrealism is what I currently enjoy the most."

He *might* just be a PhotoShop user.....

 Back on topic...

		| It is interesting for me to note that my current score exactly equals the average vote I've cast on images I've voted on so far (6.2727). That's a first! |

After all, art is the artist's vision of reality and NOT the reality itself. There is NOTHING wrong in using Photoshop to edit your photographs as long as you know what you are doing and why. |

I'm slowly working my way through the challenge, commenting on every photo I vote on... with any luck, I'll finish... generally, I'm trying to leave some kind of positive feedback combined with constructive criticism, so it takes a while. But hopefully I'll get to yours before the end of the week :) |

I know FocusPoint would weep over this score, but it's a high one for me.

Haven't seen any super-high scores on this thread, though I think there are some gorgeous photos in this challenge.

There are some gorgeous shots! I'm thinking there are some high 7's floating around. I'm at 6.5 (and quite thrilled with it). |

eta: I started dropping right after I posted my score actually. I think I'm going to stop doing that.

The curse - I usually drop 2 or 3/10's after posting.... if I drop any more I'll be below my average score... |
