First up, I'm incredibly nervous commenting on your stuff..... :#
I really like the ad shots.
The hands on the keyboard - obviously the lighting etc is fabulous, the technicals are great - but, the positioning of the hands/fingers is not *right*. The hands look like they're just sitting there with no purpose, like they've just been randomly placed on the keyboard, not ready to do some actual work/keying. I'm a touch typist myself and have watched an AWFUL lot of people attempt to use a keyboard and these just don't look like that. The closest is the one with the mouse and it might just be me, but the left-handed use of the mouse isn't common, so it still looks a little strange.
...hope I haven't annoyed you with my comments....

Nice stuff, Leo. Left you a comment on your flashlight image (which is my fave of the bunch). Depending on your intentions are for the images (just having fun/creating a commercial port), they're either nice or need work.
I have to agree with pamb on the keyboard hand poses, as I have been a typist for more decades than I care to admit. One of my pet peeves in movies is when someone starts "typing" and it's so very clear they're just wiggling their fingers over the keyboard (best example is Scottie in Star Trek 4). This might work for a hand model port, but even so, the hands are not very "expressive".
The product ads are clean and well lit, but for me also lack "punch". Commercial photography is not just about showing the product, but also selling it. As a general note for both sets, I feel they are lacking in the highly emotional/visceral quality that your other stuff is known for. I do believe it's possible to merge the two styles successfully. |

LOL! I did enjoy his mouse technique, however. |
