I saw a display at a museum once that used black light (UV) to illuminate stones, there was a thing online about genetically altered cats that glowed under UV light also.

What a great idea. One of the sad realities of diving is between scatter and absorption as you dive deep, you loose red, then orange, then yellow, then green until all that is left is blue toned. I never thought of bringing my own light source, DOH! |

You may also want to bring your camera in case you haven't thought of that. :P |

Glowing cats... it would be so cool to see them flashing around the neighborhood at night.

I tried that once. It seems you are supposed to have something called a "housing" even though they sold you a camera that was supposed to be "weather sealed". These camera makers are full of tricks to make you buy a new camera. |

I am a bit confused on this one - why wouldn't a normal colored torch work? Or just see your photos taken with your strobe on top? (I use to scuba dive and still have a big Nikonos strobe and Nikonos film camera :) |
