Must be a lot of high votes out there, due to the low number of responses on this thread, not surprised some very good shots in this challenge. May the best photo win.

| No chance of mine making Top 10, it went down from 6.84 to 6.53 and is still going down but then I am already used to this - I am a seasoned DPCer by now :) |

I have been pretty steady with mine.
Sitting at a 5.3 and have been pretty much since 20 votes.
Which is where I thought I would end up with my score. I still liked it. :) |

| This one is very close to being my top scoring image ever and I am ecstatic. A couple of high votes would help ensure it's my top image. So feel free to give out a couple of 9's or 10's out there. Some comments would be nice too if you have the time. Only 2 so far in that area. |

| I recently registered as a non-member so I could get a sense of whether the site, strongly recommended by friends, was one I would enjoy. I don't think I have the time to devote to it at this time, but during the 6 weeks or so that I have been a member, I have noticed something very strange. I can only vote in the open challenges, of course, but I have been trying to do so. Sometimes I have time to vote a respectable percentage, sometimes I just make my 20%. Regardless, it is my habit to look at every entry large before I start voting. Often that's all I do the first day. At other times I look back through for the thumbnails of the entries that I remembered as most impressive, open them, and give them a vote - like an 8 or 9. I rarely vote for more than 5-10% that first day. Later, as I have time, I come back and make my way through again, voting for a few more each time. Now here's the strange thing. Almost every time, when I first come back to continue or finish my voting, I see scores for images that I KNOW I have not voted on or scores I KNOW I have not given -- always images I consider excellent that now have a 1 or 2 and images I consider very poor that now have an 8 or 9. The first time this happened, I reported it. After that, I just opened those images, gave them the score I thought they deserved, and made sure I checked back on them frequently as the week went by. Needless to say, this does not give me a lot of confidence in the voting process here at DPC. |

I am assuming you did something unintentionally as such problem would have been noticed by many voters already. I suggest next time you go through a new challenge without voting have a look at the thumbnails at the end - those that already have votes are at the end of the thumbnails page(s).
PS Since we all suffer from paranoia I will check my votes now :)

I think you are right, Margaret. I just realized that it is quite possible that I was, at times, advancing through the images by voting rather than by using the forward arrow. I will be very mindful from now on. |

If you click on the title of the challenge while voting you can see which images you have voted on, how you scored them, and which still are awaiting votes.
Check it after your voting sessions to look for errors. It is also a good tool after you have voted to move images up and down a bit. I know when I vote over a few sessions that there is variance in my voting session to session that a bit of review can balance out. |
