| Corporate chess is always interesting to watch. I'm in two minds as to whether the perpetual format wars drive innovation or stifle it. Perhaps it's an equilibrium. |

It certainly is interesting to watch. It's not always good, and not always bad. It's just the way that technology progresses in a free market. Think of it as natural selection for software and hardware :-)
