I think it would be great to see what photos turn up across the globe with a contest commemorating Veterans Day. Maybe a short 48 or 72 hour contest.

Veterans Day is an American holiday. People around the globe may not have heard of it.

Hence Remembrance day. Also, Countries around the globe surely have Veterans. This isn't rocket science.

Maybe not rocket science, but possibly arrogance, thinking the world should conform with American holidays.

Good idea. Lets make it a mandatory challenge. Thanks for the recommendation Cali Chick.

Veteran's day is a remembrance of Remembrance day, the day the "War to End All War" ended. Sadly that did not turn out to be the end of war, but the hope that it would have been, is worth remembering. Here in the USA we celebrate our veterans of war, and if you know one, ask them about the value of peace. A challenge to remember the cost of war and the value of peace would be a fine idea.

How about just a national pride challenge.

Show your country somehow.

Correct, my point exactly. Plenty of other countries have a Remembrance Day, Wiki lists 17 other Countries other then the US. Foolish to think its solely an American holiday.

Perhaps we could have exclusive challenges. Remembrance for those things that we hold dear, and forgetful for those things we just as soon forget.
