When I pull files from the Blackberry Tour via Windows Explorer to my PC, they have a .rem extension at the end... "filename.jpg.rem"

I can't open them, even after deleting the .rem off the end.

Anybody know what's up?

That's weird. I never had that problem but it's been years since I've had a blackberry. Try using the blackberry software you download to move them to your hard drive or text them to your email address

Go to Options > Security > encryption

Is your media encrypted?

That sounds good, I'll check it out, thanks!

I think I'm locked out. Something about an IT Policy.

My brother mentioned that the company he worked for had it locked down on some things.

When attempting to take encryption off I get this: "The chosen encrytion level is less than your current IT Policy setting."

Ooh, I think I'm getting rid of the IT Policy by resetting it to factory... cool.

OR maybe I'm just fubaring it, haha.

Oh...I didn't realize you were going to wipe out the device.

Have fun with that...;-)

Uhoh, that winky of yours gives me an impending feeling of doom! Still watching progress bars on the bb.

Pfizer locked out lots of fun stuff, so I may as well wipe it.

Well, you are in effect wiping out the encryption key as well for the images.

The encryption key is stored on the local device.

Did you make a backup?

The encryption key will be on the backup.

I didn't have any pictures. Took some test shots and couldn't open them on the PC, but now I can.

So you're saying I have no defense against your high beams. In that case I will have to submit and simply twiddle them.
