Hi everyone!

The topic hasn't been discussed or asked about in a while and things tend to change around quickly. I was wondering if you folks can recommend a domain registering service and as a plus a seperate hosting service as well. A company that does both well is fine. And it doesn't have be a strictly photography based hosting service. Would be nice if they offer phone support. There are so many out there and reliablity is most important to me.

Hosting sites like Smugmug and Zenfolio put aside, for now. I feel they are a bit heavy handed and missing a bit of that special polish and looking for something that loads quicker, preferebly non flash based. They're a good option for selling prints through though. Clickbooq or Livebooks sites look cleaner but they're out of my budget so I'll be willing to do some of my own coding for a while.

Thanks a bunch! :)

I recently signed up for bluehost also. Seems pretty solid so far.

ipage is pretty good, as well. And they have some specials going on right now.

I\'ve been using Dreamhost for the past 5 years or so. Great support, pricing and I haven\'t had a minute of down time since I hooked up with them. VERY happy.

I register my domain through GoDaddy and my site is hosted with Lunarpages. I highly recommend them for your needs.

While godaddy works as well as anyone else, their ads are so heinous that I refuse to use them and help fund their slime over my television. Registration is a commodity, unlike hosting, they all do the same job for $5 or $2.50

I use 1&1 for all my (10+) domains, hosting, and I have an exchange email server with them as well.

They can be pricey but I have yet to have any problems. Very happy with them.
