well i did my part, gave an even 7 avg....

although i'm sure this has been pointed out before, it seems MANY took this as a "puzzle macro" challenge which kinda missed the mark for me.

I want people to guess and tell me why they think my image deserves the score they give. I'm not gonna learn anything if people don't tell me. Come on! Comments please :p

To me, a puzzle macro is a style of abstract. In a puzzle macro we are normally just seeing part of the big picture, which I believe is one definition of "abstract."

It's been slowly climbing. This is the highest I've seen it so far.

good point. but when i'm looking at an abstract i don't try to guess what it "is". I appreciate not knowing, and enjoying the lines and colors for what they are. note: i didn't vote anyone down for a "puzzle macro"

robert - if you pm me your title i'll leave a comment and tell you my vote and why

I really try hard not to let my brain slip into a guessing mode. I shoot abstract a lot and so you would think I wouldn't have this problem but I guess viewing is different. I have finished voting but it took me a third and fourth round on many of them to enjoy and appreciate the intentions. Good work everyone!

You do keep us on our toes Don. No challenge would be complete without waiting for your comment. Nice!

Well, fingers crossed for the brown I guess! I'm amazed how much my score has shot up in the last day though (from 4.1). On the up side I've had some nice comments including a posthumous gallery entry so I don't regret entering this photo at all.

Im glad to see that the voters pretty much ignored the "If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract" part of the challenge in their voting. Some of the best shots were easily identified, but strong abstracts none the less.

And I'm glad I didn't unsubmit my entry before start. I didn't have much hope on this entry but it made my top 4.
Another entry, on which I had more hope, is going out the oposite way.
